Cancellations and rescheduling

Thank you for considering Alder Lake Farm for your arena hire.

Before you book, please be aware that our deadline for cancelling or rescheduling your arena session is a minimum of 48 hours, prior to the start of your hire period.

This is stated in our terms and conditions, and is displayed at the top of all of our booking pages. If you do need to cancel or reschedule, you can do so by contacting us.

Much like any other business that provides private hire facilities or pre-paid, allocated spaces (e.g. theatres, cinemas, bowling alleys, etc) we have to plan ahead for each period of hire. This includes staffing and maintenance commitments to ensure you get the best possible riding experience in the arena - one that is both enjoyable and safe.

We understand that things can go wrong at your end; horses may become lame, ill or have loading issues, vehicles break down or there might be bad traffic, or unsuitable weather, to name but a few. But because of the advance commitments that we make and the consequential upfront costs that we incur, we’re unable to cancel or reschedule hire periods without being given the minimum notice period.

Prior to 48 hours before the start of your hire, should a rider cancel then we have a reasonable chance of being able to hire that time slot to someone else. Within 48 hours however, it is highly unlikely that another rider will book at such late notice, and our business quickly becomes unsustainable if we regularly lose income from late cancellation or rescheduling in this way.
