How does Arena Hire work?
The indoor arena is available to hire privately for horse riders to ride their own horses. We do not hire horses/ponies for lessons (we are not a riding school).
During your hire period, nobody else will be using the arena. You are welcome to also hire poles or jumps - we have a full set stored indoors right next to the arena.
In the summer months (April-September) this on a self-assembly basis only. From October - March, a SJ course is put up in the arena every week on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Can I add an extra rider to my booking?

Can I add the use of poles or jumps to my booking?

Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
If you can’t make it to your arena hire session, you may contact us to reschedule up to 48 hours before the start of your hire period. Please read our full policy on cancellations and rescheduling at www.alderlakefarm.co.uk/cancellations.
Can I change my booking to a different date or time?
Our deadline for rescheduling your arena hire session is a minimum of 48 hours, prior to the start of your hire period. If you make the request to reschedule before the 48 hour deadline, we will do our best to move your booking to the new date that you need. Do you hire the arena for less than an hour?
All arena hires are a minimum of 1 hour.
Can I hire the arena for my clinic or event?

Are there any discounts available?
We don’t currently offer any discounts for private hire.

When is the Show Jumping course available to hire?
The SJ course is up in the arena every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from October - March.
Can I adjust the show jumping course?
Yes you are welcome to adjust the course to your needs, as long as it is put back to 90cms with all fillers, front and back rails tidily in place, BEFORE the end of your session.
Can I book an arena hire at the last minute?
The arena is available to book up to 4 hours before, to allow us time to prepare.
What’s the parking like?
We have a large, fully fenced and gated private car park. Please be sure to carefully tidy all droppings or loose bedding into the wheelbarrow provided!
Do I have to pay to use just a few poles?
Yes, the charge for poles/jumps applies regardless of the amount of poles, fillers or stands used.
Can I bring my Instructor and have a lesson?
Yes, instructors are welcome.
Can I buy an arena hire session for someone else?

Does Alder Lake Farm offer livery?
No, we are not a livery yard, or riding school.
